click's and joe's bots were the stand outs for me, it has nothing to do with fanbase O.o I believe that they spend more time then others trying to build unique bots when the other builders just build stacked HS's and standard popups most the time.

I agree with this, but props to S_M too.  :approve:

example being this month... people voting against mine due to fighting ability... fair call... people voting against mine due to the fact they dont want who they think is me to win... isnt how you should be voting.

Let's mix things up then.

BOTM for November should be a "mix it up" month.

Everyone that wants to enter builds a bot... but has to send it to a friend to make the splash.  :D

Nobody would have a clue!  It would be awesommmmmmmme!

Would the person making the splash need to collect the battleshots as well?

its a great idea. but what would make it better is if each member didn't know who's bot they were making a splash for

how about we use a template splash for entries and then whoever wins can send in the original splash?

Well then... wouldn't that just clarify where everyone's head is for voting?

It would be a neat test.  Because if a failbot with a nice splash wins... we can theorize that most of the forums is retarded.

However, if a great bot with a lame splash wins... then the greater majority of the forum is sharper than we think.

I see where you are coming from, but it would be a cool experiment.  Plus, people would get to choose their partnerships.  Its not like Clickbeetle is going to ask MouldyKingBash to do his splash or something.

No, a default splash template that everyone must use is a better idea than no splash at all, but I think the system we have going now is alright.

Whoa, this is probably the most entries ever for a BOTM, isn't it?  Too bad I missed it.  I would have voted for either Scarab (for looking cool) or Halftone (for being a BW side hammer) though, so it wouldn't have made a difference.
