I'm shocked, frankly, that so many people voted for it.

Be joyous it didn't win then :P

I found it humourous but didn't vote for it due to the inevitable Giraffe-style backlash.
Glad #5 came third, don't like #1 all too much but that's fair, the community decides :D

I get the feeling I unintentionally started something.

I'm surprised #6 only got one vote. Personally.
And I thought #3 was funny.
Hopefully next time there might be a bot which makes me want to vote though :P

#1 is like, lets make a DSL bot, add some IRL features, then add some DSL-style armour then try and make it IRL again by using the Tornado weapon. THen go skinning crazy!

^^^^ This.   XD

S_M was on the money there.  I apologize for winning with a somewhat weak bot.  I was shooting for a DSL oriented bot (non IRL realistic based) and the original weapon was a drum with beater bars, but I just didn't like how it looked aesthetically.  So then I threw on the Tornado drums and it looked nice, however I had already skinned the Panic Attack skirts to matched.  At that point I was like "wheeeeeeeee! whoTFcares!"  and threw those on anyways.  The end result is a odd mess (albeit a pretty one though!)  Like a Picasso of a DSL bot.

The granny wheel reskins are badass though. Yeah, I am going to brag... those took me like 2 hours to center and make perfect.  I am going to console myself that I won based on the wheels alone.  :P

Can't believe that NFX guessed that I built it.  I guess my inefficient-yet-pretty bot style is getting more notorious....  I totally voted for your bot though.  I think it is a great build.

Thanks for the votes guys.

I am extremely disappointed that #3 was allowed at all. IT'S A RAMMER. Thus, it should have been disqualified immediately. I'm shocked, frankly, that so many people voted for it.

The criteria was a "DSL MW drum bot"
Is it DSL? Yes.
Is it a MW? Yes.
Is it a drum? Yes.
Is it a bot? Yes.

The rules never specified that the robot had to have a drum weapon. Therefore #3 was perfectly legal. And awesome.

What's it a clone of?

1) It's not a clone of any of my bots - the DSL drums I've won BotM for have been Barbarous-style drums like so:

2) If anything, it's a clone of Sage's HW Mammoth. I've built LW versions of it too a while back (the first ones showcased, IIRC), but I never built a MW.

Sure thing, will take care of that tomorrow.

Edit: Owait... I gotta bundle it somehow with the skinned components... I will figure that out later. Sorry for the delay.
