i have a feeling who build 2 and 3 :P
but 3 is pretty much the only non-noob bot there, even still it isnt great

I actually like #1. It's quite unique.

Since the criteria was this:
Must have 8 wheels (no more ... no less)
Must have at least one snow plow (light, medium, heavy, or steel)
Must have at least two weapon system types
And since the only bot that actually satisfies them all is #1... Flamethrowers are just a cheap cop out for a secondary weapon system imo.

also i don't think #2 has the two weapon systems, i see a flamethower but no other weapon system

I would have entered, but the 8 wheels bit halted me in my tracks for ideas.
I'm not voting because it would be like choosing the lesser of 3 evils. No offence. You guys are still better men than I for actually entering though :P

Lesser of 3 evils? I think people have done well with the massive restrictions they were given - apart from the slight lack of weapon systems on 2.

I will admit that probably came across more harsh than I anticipated, and for that I apologise. However, nothing is exactly screaming "VOTE ME" out of my monitor, which is probably closer to what I meant to say in the first place.

1 is honestly the only bot in my eyes to fit the full ruleset.

3 meets the requirements if you take the IRL definition of a weapon (spikes, plow, flame thrower) but fails if you define a weapon as something that operates independent of the drive train and passes if you call a weapon anything in the weapons tab.

Voted for 1, kind of like the idea of a bot specifically designed to combat another kind of bot, also the flame-throwers on 2 & 3 just seem like a cheap way to meet the two weapons criteria.

lololol but 1 would be UTTERLY AWFUL against any bot that deserves the "shell spinner" name.
Judgment - 1 is crap, 2 is a bit less awful, and 3 is the best of the bunch. Also it looks cool. Nothing great fight-wise but it's not like the rules make for good fighters.
2 doesn't even have 2 weapon systems. 3 has since it's a flamethrower rammer, although a poor one in my books.

number 1: nicest splash, obeys the rules most (weapons systems as mentioned previously) and is the most unique.

This. The other two were bots that screamed "I'm going to put the least effort into this possible". Dull, unimaginative bots.

I aimed for something original with 2 active weapon systems, that obeyed the rules. And actually, I think I achieved my aim. Deshell and KO's the original Grog from DSL2.1 in about 30seconds. But if you guys believe it is so wrong, put SKBT on the front page. Who am I to give a damn these days?

It's not. Only now do I realise you must build IRL or efficient, otherwise whatever you make is the biggest pile of crap anyone's ever seen.

Craaig I'm not complaining at you for this. I'm complaining at the fact that I didn't vote and if I did I would have won or tied, had I voted for my bot... Anyways congrats on the win and all that good stuff...

Oh boy, that was a close one. I actually voted for SKBT but Craaig won fair and square. Anyone with a problem with it should have entered. The issue is that we haven't gotten very many BOTM entries lately. On that thought, I might participate in the next one.
