ACAMS:
Each month we will have a "Bot of the Month" for the home page.
This month only has two more days left so you can submit bots you have already made.
 
RULES:
 
MUST BE DSL BOT with DSL v2.0 parts ONLY...no stock parts not shown in an unmodded version of DSL v2.0.
 
This month will be HW since most people have HW bots already built.
 
Bots must be submitted by posting an 800 x 600 pic here by midnight friday.
Voting will be Saturday and Sunday and the winner announced Monday.
Next month will be LW and more time given for submitting and voting.
 
No AAM, but anything else goes.
 
 
Post your best pic as it will be the one shown on the front page, and it is OK to make a splash of several angles.

Skurge:


Recently rebuilt, Skurge is a lot stronger, has less weaknesses and can cause a heck of a lot more damage. It can now run upside down, leaving it's only weakness (as far as I can tell), vunerability. Note that there's a lot of space unused. I took this into account when I was building it, that it needed to be a certain size in order to be most effective, hence the empty space. I also went up to my weight limit numerous times, so I ended up with a little less power than I'd have liked.
Barring it's crushing defeat in FRA in the first round, where Snowjob took it by surprise and shoved it down the pit, it has always done well in the tournaments it competes in (although not AI ones, even though it has been AIed. Anyone made a DSL AI tournament?)

Proud to present Iron Mayhem DSL!



A distant offspring from the first bot build by me several months ago to enter Starcore 1 and which is in the first page of my showcase. The closest relative is Iron Mayhem 5.

Definitely a killer in soul, he is extremely damaging, and a good front defense too. Good speed for a spinner (although, sometimes betrays him)

Weight: 796,0
Power: Two orange batts and two battlepacks
Drive: Two Vladiator wheels on fast NPC64's
Armor: 3mm Titanium
Weapons: Eight iron spikes on 100cm discs, powered by MagSnapper-bursted Eteks

He has stock-style wedges (small wedges on burst motors) which work way better than DSL type skirts.

Unfortunately he falls often on it's sides but I think this is easy to fix. He has a rear srimech with the mag snappers.

If someone wants more detailed pictures, just ask.
