As some of you may (not) know, I am im my second GCSE year and have mocks and GCSE soon.
I am just making this thread for anyone else in my position with GCSEs or A levels to discuss revision techniques
or ways to pass time between revision topics (breaks).

Scive!
DP: What a fun mock that was...
Here's a fun fact.
There are two exits out of our exam hall. I always get sat far away from the right door, the one they always use.
Anyway, last proper GCSE test we did, I sat right next to the right door thinking yay, I don't have to waste my life sitting bored while the man SLOWLY let's out everybody row by row.
Then what does he do, he let's everybody out of the left door ::2mad
-
LMAO
-
They seem to do that all the time. As if they know were your going to go and plan to mess it up.

I agree, we had this to one of my last exams.
It's very much Lawful Useless and a waste of time and manpower. When people just rush and enter the amphitheater normally, it's faster and I honestly see no use to that.
-
Yep, I agree Nar, I hate pointless rules myself with a passion.
One thing that was hillarious, in last yers mocks the guy was reading out the rules (in case we didn't know them already!) and then randomly went off on a tangent about how mobile phones were a "bloomin menace" and how he didn't see the point of them :laughing
Have you noticed how all the "invigilators" seem to be really creepy people?

Final HS exams (Matura) in May or so.
Right now when we did some preliminary tests, I got 94% at mathematics... I am quite happy.
-
Maths, it all adds up in the end.
-
I got a c+ on my math ISTEP. I Crapped Happiness.

Our teacher was so scary that only 3 people (out of 30+) passed his exam (barely passed). dayum
But I'm pretty sure that's gonna change next time, though. I don't think he can pull off tricky questions when it's just about chain rules. :P
-
I have 5 exams before my christmas holiday... I have soon IT-Exam. And I haven't read at all. :P
-
IRW, PA and I have 15 exams before christmas. SM has 14.
-
High school has never been that evil to me (except math, which was totally, totally evil). o_O
-
They aren't exactly hard though. :P
-
Oh. So I guess high school has been more evil to me than to you. XD
-
I guess so. What maths did they have you doing?
-
Wow.. That sucks. :ermm:
-
I guess so. What maths did they have you doing?
Pretty much HS math + 1st year college math. Only math buffs can ace the class. Regulars (like me) either fail or barely pass. He generally passes everyone in the 4th quarter, but it still hurts. XD
-
Are you lazy like me or just not mathematically minded ?
-
Did you have to do calculus?
-
Let me sum up my life with a single picture:

Depends on the topic, I guess. I suck at limits, but I pwn at chaining derivatives. Unless our evil teacher finds a way to somewhat throw us off again. >.<
@ G.K. - Yep. We started calculus right after conics, which was done after the 3rd week of school.

Limits and derivatives are generally easy to guess... but the problem is that mostly, I give the result without explaining enough. :P

Linear Algebra is funfunfunfun.
-
Just got out of Maths 1. Pah, easy.
-
Mwahaha, i've done all my maths tests :p
Anyway, I finally was let out first!!
The bad thing though was that it was a 2 hour long technology (woodwork) test :frown:
Yeah, I really don't care about woodwork, it was a subject I was forced to take, so I just wrote jokey awnsers to pretty much everything and was done in half an hour.
Luckily I had a screw randomly on my desk which kept me amused for the next hour.
I left the screw on the desk for the next person with an arrow pointing to it saying "sanity screw".
-
I have one test, although its a test covering all sciences (Physics, Chemistrey and Biology)

Linear Algebra is funfunfunfun.
I love linear.

FYI linear algebra != linear equations.

Yeah, somehow I doubt Sparkles knows to work with linear equations at 13...
-
Or maybe he would, if he got off his ath and did some math.
-
I did linear equations in 6th grade.
And shall I SOTG this thread by starting another flame war on how I proababley are involved in more sports than any of you?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You serious?
Try us.
-
No, bad sparkey, no flame wars.
-
I don't really mind. Utter humiliation is what he needs if all of you want him to stop provoking others in the future.
-
Sparkey, you're a goddamn KID, you have no reason to brag about what little you accomplished in your life.
Seriously... Sparkey, Avalanche, MKB... What has the new generation come to ?

Complete sh*t, that's what.
-
A generation with barely any self-control. I thought it was easier to moderate your own actions when you're online, but apparently the new kids think it's cool to rebel against everything. It really saddens me when I see high-class douchebags ditching class just for teh lulz. Their quarterly tuition fee is roughly equivalent to my yearly tuition fee. Throwing parents' money away, as if cash is just like a condom. They cheat in exams, tried to blackmail their teachers, and they'll probably have sex for teh lulz as well. And this generation will inherit the world in time.
Whoopee. >.<
-
I can tell you right now that I haven't done anything that neccesarily contributes to society.
-
Starting late is not necessarily a bad thing. Which is why some people opted to take up masters' degrees instead of going straight to their job-hunting sprees.
-
I had today History exam. I made it in 5 minutes and rest of the time I drawed swearing hedgehog. (Famous Comic character in Finland)

LOLWUT?!?
I had some history coursework today.
I hate coursework, it drags on far to long, atleast a test is over quickly.
-
Cba to read the thread, but I have a lovely 3 AS Level exams in January (more than most in my school)... Chemistry, Physics and Maths. Yay! :L

I go to the top private school in north of England and most kids there don't give a Flying Fox about their education, they just suck off of their parents cash. I mean, when Black Ops came out, we had half classes all day because people were 'poorly'.

This was probably one of the reasons why I chose to enroll in a public university instead of a private one. I can't perform well when surrounded by ****ups, even if the teachers were awesome.

Just had a great English exam, now for my trumpet one. D:
-
Trumpet exam? o_O
Just do it like the sax guy. :P
-
Not part of the curriculum, I'm just doing a trumpet exam.
AND SKIPPING THE ADDITIONAL MATHS EXAM BY DOING IT w00t! :P
-

KEWL.
I was excused from taking any physics exams when I was in the national robotics team. Too bad it was about mechanics, though. I love classical mechanics. :P
Damn, I miss high school. I still can't believe us engineering students are required to take up literature (it would've been fine if it was European literature, but NO they just HAD to force us to take up local literature). >.<
-
Yay! I just got Detention. Reason, I went to eat kebab at the town on Lunch time... :P
-

And that's supposed to be a bad thing? o_O
-
You are not allowed to go out from the school yard on school time...
-
Well, that trumpet went terribly. :P
-
I went there with 2 friends, and when we came back, the Lucky guy was me. I only got busted. :gawe:
-
You were lucky? What happened to them, then? o_O
-
I got Detention, they didn't. Because teacher only noticed me.
-
I never get in trouble. I only talk when the teachers aren't looking. :P
