well finishing with a 12-14 record across 7 divisions isn’t awful.  2 bots carried the whole team. GG Pecker and Pointy

Pointy is a good bot that proved very resilient and well built. Didn't scrape by with lucky victories.

Other thoughts:
- Flaze had quite a rapid downfall in its last two fights.
I was shocked by how quickly Green Slash took it out. However I feel Badnik still has a decent shot at the BW title. Think Green Slash is the bot for the AW final.
Black Harpy looks a good bet for the LW title, MW I have no idea, wouldn't be surprised to see either take it.
Think Mass Collider will win if it snips a wheel off of inVasion quick, otherwise I feel it's going to get thrown about as it's munched. Can't see the same scenario happening for the rematch in the HW division but I am still not sure of the outcome. Could be very close.
And hoping that Vulkan takes the win in either the MW or SHW divisions.

Before any of the finals though, I think everyone involved or who's watched owes thanks to Doot for running this huge tournament. Lost count of how many videos there are but they've all been consistently well edited and presented, and updates have been on the regular. So thank you for organising and running the biggest and best tournament of 2017.

I'd like to say congratulations to all the finalists. You're all finalists in Ra2's largest tournament ever*! Even if your road to the finals was smaller than most of the other large tournament finalists (they usually had one big bracket). Even so, you can use a technicality to pimp out your signature, or you can rag on me for only winning tournaments by default.

*by the number of robots (I do not believe Clickbeetle ever expected this AI nonsense to get so large.)

Seeing that this tournament is near to the end, the hype for the finals intensifies. It's been a long journey, but the journey couldn't of been better through out the way. I'm glad that I was part of it even by building one bot.

This has been an amazing tourney, should be proud of yourself Doot!

Now as for my robot's scores, keeping in mind most of these bots were built when I was getting used to DSL:

AW: Hornhead - 2-2. I'm rather surprised to be honest, Hornhead was a quickly cobbled together idea to replace my old (and very first AW), little guy did better than I thought he would!
BW: Bruiser - 1-2. Honestly Bruiser's victory was an easy one...the bot itself has been improved a fair bit so perhaps it'll do better next time!
LW: Grunt - 1-2. Grunt's fights were pretty fun from what I remember, built a new version of this but don't know if I made it worse! Also...

Losing to the possible future LW champ, that makes Grunt's run even better for me personally!

MW: Crumplezone - 0-2. Ouch this hurt. People reckon I got unlucky here but it wasn't the best bot...might revisit this idea one day.
CW: General Orcatraz - 1-2. Lifter was good for getting under but could have been improved.
HW: Crocognaws - 0-2. Aaaah the birth of my Gnaws robot family...and it was terrible. Looked okay but wasn't effective!
SHW: Monstargh - 0-2. The idea was there but the hammers were too far apart. Think the new one would have fared a lot better.

Overall...5-12. Not the best score but hey, it's a decent starting point and I learnt a lot!

And after all of this, RoboGames' doors has closed and the tournament has finished.

Of all of the tournaments I have done, this was by far the largest tournament that I have had to do and is by far, the one I am most proud of. Its been the wildest ride, from the conceptualisation all the way to the signups and to the actual tournament videos, its been an absolute honour and a pleasure to do a massive tournament such as this.

I don't think I'll be doing any other extra videos simply because I have already had to do an enormous amount of takes and retakes, video after video and screen after screen. However, the possibility of a second series of a RoboGames may be over the horizon, whether that'll be immediately into 2018 or all the way into 2019.

Till then, this has been an absolute honour to do a tournament like this.

• AW Final - Micro Mermaid had a strong end to it's run, Green Slash put up a good fight after losing the weapon. Congrats to Doodle!
• BW Final - Nuclear Winter Junior blasting it's way though the armor plate of it's opponent. Congrats to Badnik! Commiserations to lra2, there's always next yea- oh.
• LW Final - The Billet Club falls at the last hurdle, Black Harpy 2 bouncing back from the Loser's Bracket. Congrats to Virus Bomb!
• MW Final - Vulkan takes a victory and gives KillerTurtleG a victory in his debut tournament. Razor Guy proves however that legends never fade. Congrats to Turtle!
• CW Final - Genuinely thought this was a double knockout until the end screen span around inVasion. Probably the closest fight of the division and literally could have gone either way. yay me I guess, but a great fight, Pressure.
• HW Final - Prediction was right. Didn't go the same way as the previous match, did lose a wheel and it was gg from there on. Need to make Carbomite invertible but hey, minibots aren't useless. Congrats again to Virus Bomb on both titles! :)
• SHW Final - Spicy Meatball causes Vulkan SH to spaget, ggwp to eternalflame.py Mr_AS.

Despite a few cuts with the format for the finals of a double elimination bracket possibly due to tiredness. This tournament makes it way to a great ending with a last few comebacks and good matches. I know I said this before, even with entering one bot I'll still proud that I was part of this amazing tournament. So Congratulation to Doodle, Badnik, Virus Bomb, KillerTurtleG, DSC and Mr AS!

I was asked to bring back RG for this tournament, and I did.  I couldn't be any prouder and I was amazed by the power of the simplicity after making it to the grand final. I will be putting RG on the shelf as it could potentially be a hall of famer.  I did made RG 2 with 2 extra modular weapon and a possibility for more.  I may make a RG for each weight class, so keep an eye out for it!
