I will randomly pick your bots for each match if you do not PM me with your desired matchups before I start filming (but I'll give a reasonable time frame of at least 72 hours or so). The bot decisions may be edited as the tournament goes on, but are not guaranteed to always go through depending on how short of notice they are changed.
• Submitted entries are final; no updates unless absolutely necessary. Both bots must be submitted at the same time.
• If after 30 days, the sign-ups are not filled, the tournament will start anyway and blank spots will be filled with free byes.
• Best 2 out of 3 Deathmatches, plus a Pity Rumble after the main bracket is done. Double elimination.
• The Pity Rumble will be between the 2 entrants who are knocked out of the tournament after the first two rounds, i.e. never win a match. Both of Loser 1's bots will face both of Loser 2's bots in a team rumble for a "loser's winner".
• Awards will include Tournament Winner, Pity Rumble Winner, Most Original, Coolest Looking, Favourite Match, Most Fearsome Brotherhood, and Unluckiest Brotherhood.

I will not be entering. I've always thought the idea of entering your own tournament was pretty weird. Basically what I was trying to aim at with this was to have a tournament where some strategy would also be involved. For example, if your opponent has entered a rammer and HS, and you have to choose between your VS and your hammer, you should probably go with the hammer.

An interesting anomaly, a Splash/Brackets/Videos thread without any Splash, Brackets or Videos. :gawe:

Should be a pretty good tournament, though. Be interesting to see who's entered what designs, and how things go between the pairings.

I'm in two minds about it. On the one hand, you didn't want this bot to be entered, and that screws up your plans and such, but on the other, you know what all the competitor bots are now, so there's nothing to stop you entering a bot designed to beat them. I'm not suggesting that's what you'll do, but it sets a bit of a worrying precedent if we allow it. Since we know it's your See No Evil entry, though, I'm willing to go with it.

No, sorry, the rules said submitted entries are final, and then there's the fact that you've seen all the entries already. I'd have to edit the splash as well.

I should have realised when you said the bot had an illegal component, but I didn't have a copy of stock so I couldn't see what bot I was sending. The same thing happened in SNE. Now I'm pretty easy to counter because only one of my bots can move properly, and that one only had 1 wheel! D:

The PM'ing procedure now works so that you give me a list of all opposing teams, and assign one of your bots to fight against each pair, even if you will not necessarily face them. See the rules for the update.

S_M, your bot havoked in every single match after the first one no matter what player position or spinspeed value I gave it, so I didn't give it any restarts. If you have any fixes let me know before your next match and maybe I can refilm, because I didn't really think it was fair for you to lose because of that.

IMO, 720p would look better than 1080p. Without custom status bars, they get to be too small to read at 1080p. Other than that, it looks pretty good and I'm looking forward to seeing how this tourament will progress.

That's why if you go 1080p you make it full-screen and if you want to keep the default size you leave it in 360p/720p? :P

Ugh, why doesn't AI ever work in tournaments as well as it does in testing?  I thought I sorted out Elan's driving better than that.
 
I guess tipped-over chassis design = bad idea despite caster advantage.
 
S_M seems to have this in the bag now, though Reier could possibly beat him as that fight was pretty close the first time.  I'm afraid Pwnator and Hercules will need a miracle to advance past the next round on account of being outweaponed.  (Pwnator, if you get a rematch with S_M you should use the bar spinner for the lulz.  Or S_M should use his rammer for even more lulz.  :gawe: )

I don't think so; tournament hosting isn't really my thing. I feel it takes up too much time and the 2-month deadline just puts even more pressure on me. But if anyone likes the idea, I'll gladly let them take over for any future BroBots reincarnations.

It pays the price with mobility. Pushy bots should be able to do well against them, such as Drone in Starcore V4a.
