KJ here. A major tournament is happening.

FORMAT:

The format is the same as Robot wars series 5
- 12 heats of 8 robots with 4 1v1 matches in the first round
- 2 series semi-finals consisting of 6 robots each
- 3 1v1 matches in the first round of the series semi-finals
- 3 losers fight in a losers melee to decide who is the fourth machine in the second round
- GRAND FINAL is 2 1v1 matches, a 3rd place play-off, and the title fight. Some awards will also be given out before the final.

Heatwave 3  will be running on DSL 2.6 and using a reskinned RW2016 arena.

Signups close on February 22nd at 5pm BST. We currently have just under 70 bots participating with a minimum of 96 bots needed.

So a little change of plan, I'm opening up 3rd entries for Heatwave 3 and moving the deadline to 5pm bst on March 1st

Still not first come, first serve
Any new builders who enter will get priority on their first 2 entries over any 3rd entries
3rd entries are like reserves MUST come through qualifying
