DSL IRL 2.6
RW 2016 Arena
HW (800kg)
Anyone can enter all the events at once but each heavyweight can only be in two separate events at most (not counting All-Stars or Vengeance)
Some events (Challenge Belt and Bounty Hunters) have a restriction of bots that have reached top 8 in one of my comps before can't take part, which can be found here
Builders can usually enter one robot into each event, though for variety the same bot can only enter 2 events at most (not counting All-Stars and Vengeance)
There will be several events, including:
  • All Stars: 16 bot double elim consisting of at least the top 4 finishers of the past 3 series and any other stand-outs
  • Annihilator: 12 bots split into four 3-way rumbles where the winner of each go to the Annihilator, where one bot goes out in each round until 1 bot remains)
  • “New” Blood: 16 bots duke it out in four round robin heats where two bots each come out each, leading to a single elim bracket between the final eight. Any bots that haven’t entered any of my tournaments can enter. Winner gets a free spot into BW4
  • Challenge Belt: Following an event that decides who gets the belt (won by StegThing), the holder then fights 8 other bots to defend it. If it loses the bot that beats it will get the belt
  • Bounty Hunters: 4 single elim brackets of 8 bots each fighting each other and the winner fights one of the BW3 Top 4. Builders can enter a bot into up to two separate brackets
  • Vengeance: Up to eight bots in four separate fights with a reason why they chose to fight each other
  • Weightclass side events: LW, MW, CW and SHW. 8 for LW and MW & 16 for CW and SHW, double elim, rules for the weightclasses can be found here
  • World Championship: 32 bot single elim with each bot representing a different country
  • Finale Bracket: The 9 event winners, not including Vengeance and non-HW weight classes and also including the four Bounty Hunter Bracket winners regardless of if they beat the bounty or not, duke it out in three head-to-head groups of three, with one bot going out of each before leading to a S10-style heat. If the same bot wins an event more than once then the runner-up(s) of the subsequent events will enter
